Friday opened up the start of the 2012 basketball season for the Shelyn Sharks as they went up against the Killian Cougars. Led by point guard Shavaun Reuanglith, the Sharks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Their tenacious defense proved to be too much for the Cougars as they were held to just 17 total points. Shelyn finished the game with 27 points defeating Killian 27-17. The Sharks begin the 8 game season 1-0 and will head back out on the road next week to play Hollingsworth Elementary.
