Friday Reminders

Today we tried Hour of Code on iPads!  This is an introductory program that allows kids to learn the basics of computer programming and coding.  It was a blast learning how to create our own Star Wars game.  Students can go online anytime and continue to code using various themes (Frozen, Minecraft, Angry Birds, etc)
--->  Our class link is https://studio.code.org/sections/TFQPUE
--->  Your student wrote down his/her individual password in their planners.
--->  You can also access our link by going to Shelyn.info, find "5th grade" at the top, and click on "A-4 Code.org"

* December Scholastic orders are due TUESDAY, December 8.  Please order often so our class can get points for free books!

* Shelyn is holding a food drive for families in need.  If you would like to donate non-perishable food items, please send them next week with your child.  For example, we have received cans of tuna, boxes of stuffing, canned peaches, and candy so far.
